Values: 59 – 86, in degrees F (displayed and edited in Celsius half-degrees if Temperature Scale is Celsius)
This mode displays and changes the CoolBot’s idea of the air conditioner’s set temperature, described above
Set A/C sets the temperature that the CoolBot turns itself on to fool the air conditioner.
The DEFAULT setting on the CoolBots is 68F
That means that as long as the temperature is above 67F, the CoolBot will not engage -- it expects the air conditioner to AT LEAST be able to get the room down to 68 (that's why we tell people to turn their air conditioners down to 64F)
But we can tweak that number above or below... we could set it at 84F if we want to!
There is a SIDE EFFECT of doing this: If we do that, it changes the internal algorithm on the heater to get itself even hotter (to fool the air conditioner into thinking it's hotter than 84F instead of 68F)
Heater pulse just changes how fast the heater is pulsing which makes the heater get hotter. So... this is a direct way of achieving the side effect I wrote about above.
How to change
Here's what to do:
1) Go into PROGRAM mode (the light under PROGRAM will be on, it will say 6.1-6.3)
2) Press the middle check mark button 3 times if you have a 6.3 and 1 time if you have a model 6.11
3) Press the RIGHT arrow to move up to "AC" and press the CHECK mark
4) It will be blinking 68 in the display, (factory setting) change that up to 78 and press the check mark
Now don't do anything for about 20 seconds... and let's see if the heater light (not the upper heater light... the one down towards the bottom right hand side of the CoolBot) starts blinking within a short time.
